Jack Dark created VST plugins from 2005-2007, under two brand names, Darkware (2005-2006) and Novuzeit (2006-2007). He created all of his plugins using SynthEdit, a visual modular environment for creating VST instruments and effects. Due to the constraints of old versions of SynthEdit, all of his plugins are only available in 32-bit formats, and are only compatible with Windows.
Jack Dark's plugins are characterized by a unique style of UI design, heavily inspired by anime, hentai, and old videogame consoles. His plugins tend to produce mutated, glitchy sounds, with bitcrushers, pitchshifters, and granular synthesis featuring prominently in many synths and effects.
This website is designed to be a more stable archive of the original 32-bit versions of Jack Dark's plugins. In the future I plan to use newer versions of SynthEdit to make recompiled versions of these plugins compatible with modern DAWs.
